Hi Everyone,
My Name is Mayura Sanjay Virdikar. I stay in Panvel East and have opened a small shelter for animals, who try to survive on road and need shelter.
Currently in our shelter we have blind dogs, paralysed dogs, old dogs and few cats.
I am an animal lover since childhood.
When we shifted to Panvel in 2018, I came across many dogs who were malnourished. Here there were no animal lovers or rescuers so, I started feeding them and taking care of them.
Whenever my babies used to fall sick I used to take them to private doctor and used to keep them in foster care. I end up spending a lot of money in fostering so, I decided to open a shelter for my babies. I had opened a shelter last year but in March the shelter was broken by Grampachayat and my babies become homeless again.
Then I rented a place with proper documents and have opened a new shelter in June2022.
I am an individual rescuer who want a better life for the strays. I had to quit my job and everyday is a new struggle for me now, but I won’t give up as my mission and vision is to save them and give them a better life which they deserve.
In this journey I want your support. We are a family of more than 300+ including shelter and roadside.
We feed babies outside our shelter too so we need more and more support.
