Sheru’s journey on mother earth started 10+ yrs back, although I have known him for the past 2 months, feeding this lazy boyyy in Indian lockdown. Sheru has been one non fuzzy boy who gulped anything and everything served to him, but from 27th May 2020, he is only sipping water and vomiting it out too. The reason is a near fatal accident where a water tanker ran him half way leading to a (possible) spinal injury and dislocated right limb.  Due to Sheru’s age and weight (~35 kgs), chances of a successful surgery are minimal, but we were hoping him to walk on 3 legs post some medical care. Unfortunately, his blood report indicated the opposite, with his all vital parameters (Hemoglobin, TLC, Neutrophils) out of range. With all these adversities notwithstanding, I have seen a desire in Sheru’s eyes to live, which is driving me not to give up on him, as suggested by some doctors. His initial medical costs approximated to INR 8000/- (CGS hospital Gurugram INR 1320+325+575, Blood Test and Xray INR 3450, and Medical Boarding)  which I have paid up.
The ongoing medical boarding charges are INR 600 – 700 per day, with the injectables + oral medicines adding to another INR 1000 per day. The vet has advised an under observation period of 2 - 3 weeks, which is reasonable given his conditions.
With an average estimated 18 days for care, our expenses would be INR 11,700 (650*18) + INR 18,000 (injectables + oral medicines).
Please help me in saving this adorable oldie, I cannot betray the trust he has shown me in his teary eyes. No donation is small, your small contributions can make this streetie walk again, eat-sleep-eat (sic) again.
