The Story: Dr. Sunil Kumar Hebbi Provides Free Treatment To The Poor In Bengaluru.
Bengaluru Doctor Providing Free Health Care Need to Underprivileged, Join his crusade to healthcare as Fundamental HUMAN Right.
Dr. Sunil Kumar Hebbi has attained a reputation of a messiah for many underprivileged people in and around Bengaluru.
A trained civic leader, 36-year-old Hebbi is a doctor from Mamadpura, a small village in the Bijapur district of North Karnataka. His free medical camps have benefited over 35,000 people around the booming silicon valley of India.
It all started back in 2010 when Dr. Hebbi was driving on Bengaluru’s busy Hosur Road when he came upon an accident scene. The injured person was lying on the road without any medical attention. Nobody came up to help the maimed person. Dr. Hebbi, who was traveling with his first aid kit, stopped and provided the victim with the necessary care.
The whole incident moved Dr. Hebbi from the inside, and while he reflected upon the source of the problem, he felt people should be entitled to healthcare amenities as a fundamental human right.
Deliberating into his problem, he founded the NGO ‘Matru Siri Foundation’ to cater healthcare services to the needy. Further, he converted his car into a mobile doctor clinic.
Today, his organization delivers free healthcare facilities to the homeless, old-age homes, construction workers, among others. He has also adopted few government-run schools under the aegis of the Matru Siri Foundation.
Dr. Hebbi’s noble enterprise has drawn praises from different corners of the country and many, who are genuinely interested in helping him, have joined his NGO as volunteers. Today, there are over 120 medical volunteers and 350+ non-medical volunteers.
Dr. Sunilkumar Hebbi has been recognized by the Vice President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu as well the former Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri Siddaramaiah. Besides, the NGO has won multiple awards and accolades for the setting a benchmark with their efforts that has been reflected through over 700 multi-specialty health check-up camps.
The Problem: Imagine you are in a remote area or in a slum. And you get a disease or sickness.
The Solution: No one should die/suffer only because they live too far from a doctor or a clinic. To change this scenario, we at Matru Siri Foundation started MDC.
Our Unique Model: 100% Volunteered, 100% Political free, 100% Cost Free, 100 % Humanity based & Regardless of religion or race. Our Founder transformed his own Car into Mobile Dr. Clinic. It Includes Folding table & chairs, first-aid Medicines, basic diagnostic tools. Managed by Volunteer Doctors Nurses, Technician & Non-medico Volunteers.
Area of service: Across Bangalore Rural & Urban, Ramanagar, Chikkaballapur, Hosakote & Anekal.
Dr Hebbi has devoted his life towards the betterment of the underprivileged people, and he harbours a dream where the Right to Health is given a constitutional approval as a fundamental human right in India. To further realise his goals, he plans to make a Right to Health Yatra from the southern tip of India, Kanyakumari, to the extreme north of Kashmir.
Be a part of his journey by helping him with your contribution so that he reaches out to more and more people and make his dream a reality.
