This is an initiative by friends of Vishal Das and Mary Das.
With profound grief, we regret to inform you of the demise of Vishal Das. He was in the hospital for almost a month, on Oxygen support for the entire period. He finally succumbed to Covid on May 27th, 2021. Adding to the grief of the family, Vishal’s father (Mr. Bijoy Das) too had also succumbed to Covid on May 5th, 2021 itself.
All of us who knew Vishal remember him as a gem of a human being. His hard work and dedication to his family, the community of God, and his friends cannot be replaced by anyone else. He was an extremely creative, talented person with a great sense of humor. His friends remember him as a genius artist who never tried to be in the limelight and never sought praises from people around him. He was a good friend, a good human being, and a gentle soul.
Vishal was 42 years old and is survived by his wife, Mary, and a 9-year-old son, Jonathan. They are completely devasted and heartbroken by the sudden unexpected demise of Vishal. Vishal was the sole earning member of his family. Jonathan is in 5th grade and Mary is a housewife and has no fixed means of income. Apart from the immediate needs for running the household and Jonathan’s school education costs and they also have various loans to repay.
We request to all those who can find love and kindness in their heart to please support this family to meet their basic needs in a sustainable way.
