SAHAS India today is at critical crossroads and requires funding to
consolidate, rebuild, and enhance development efforts.
SAHAS India, a social development grassroots organisation,
founded in 1995 by a group of professionals led by Sunita Palita,
provides equal access quality education to underprivileged children
and women. This has helped to direct economically marginalised
families towards self-reliance.
Over the last twenty-seven years over 500 families have benefited
from these efforts. Despite SAHAS India losing its working space
since 2015, work has continued without interruption, from the
home portico/verandah of the founder. Self-employment activities
continued even during the pandemic.
