This could be bit lenghty story, But your two minutes could help a lot in making this earth sustainable for our future generations.
I born and brought up in a small village in Dindigul district, in Tamilnadu, India. where in my childhood I wasn't able to see the neighbor farm as there were so many trees blocking my visibility. We had a well which helped to irrigate the farmland. And now I am able to see a Cell tower, which is about 4 KM far from my house. That means the trees are cut down. This resulted in very less rain fall and giving more pain to the farmers who are already suffering a lot because of High cost of agri machinaries and Fertilizers. In fact the borewells are making the land deserted. We are planning to bring back the resources we had in our childhood.
May be I couldn't do anything on the cost of fertilizers, But I can do something for farmers on Agri machinaries and growing more trees.
That's where the campaign "Earth for Generations" came in my mind and in my own money of 7 Lakh rupee I have bought a tractor(Could see in images), which is rented out to farmers at free of cost(Only fuel charge is to be paid by farmers).
I had a discussion with my brother and came to know about crowd funding where I can get help from like minded people, who are willing and wishing to keep the earth alive for our future generations.
This campign targets to plant 50000 trees at farmers land and maintain it for two years, so that they will not worry about the cost of maintaining it till they produce some yield. And also the agricultural machinaries will be rented out free for the neighborhood farmers who are in need. This will help in increase in agri production and the hope to live as a farmer.
We know it is costly to maintain a tree for two years, But in our previous experience we understood the financial challenge why the farmers are hesitant to grow trees on their agri land. It costs about 100 rupee per tree per year to plant, grow and maintain for two years. But the farmers get yields only after 5 years. We have a group of youngsters who already contribute and work together on this. But still the fund which we have is not sufficient enough to reach our goal of 50000 trees. Hence seeking your support and joining hands in completing this campaign successfully.
Your contribution will be used in the below manner,
50000 Saplings cost - 50000 x 10 = 500000 INR
Renting water tanker for two years for irrigation = 365 x 2 x 1000 = 730000 INR
Water channel and lake maintenance to harvest rain water on nearby lakes(4 lakes, which can help 715 nearby farmers) - 950000 INR
Fuel and Driver cost for free tractor to the farmers - (500+500) x 365 x 2 = 700000
Additional and unexpected expenses - 120000
Fund in our hand - 1,54000 INR at this moment.
You have the full right to question us on the expenses. At the end of every month, we will share the report via email to every contributor.
