10th of May turned out to be the darkest day of my life. I lost my brother Prabhakaran. He defeated poverty to become a professor but lost the battle to brain stroke at the age of 34. His wife is 5 months pregnant with the second child and his elder son is 3 yrs old, not understanding reality trusting that his father will come back home with the chocolates he asked for!
We are shattered by his loss but what is more heartbreaking is that we couldn't even bring back his body for last rights, due to COVID situation. He was the only breadwinner of our family and truly a blessing in our life. No one could ever shower us with the love he had ever given us. Nothing feels terrible than not been able to see your loved one for one last time. Our family is devastated to an unimaginable extent. It would be a kind gesture if you could lend a helping hand to lighten the financial burden by donating now.
Prabha (as he was fondly called) was an inspiration to most of the people in his life. He came from a lower middle-class family, was educated in a Tamil medium school, graduated from one of the prestigious Engineering colleges in Chennai, dreamt of becoming a Professor, completed his Masters and pursued a PhD in Computer Science, went on to become a Professor. He was the star professor who made a revolutionary change in a Cambodian college with his unique teaching way. Even under difficult circumstances, he never missed to 'Smile'. An avid cricket lover, he is known for his sparkling smile and helping tendency.
As Prabha being the only bread-winner, the entire family was survived by his income. Your contribution would help my sister-in-law with her pregnancy and delivery expenses and also help my nephew and the soon-to-be-born for their education.
