My name is Jyoti Raheja, a housewife and mother of two beautiful children – a 5-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. We live in Ghaziabad, and until recently, we were living a modest but peaceful life, supported by my husband’s hard work and dedication.
My husband had been working at HCL Technologies for the past 9 years. He was a sincere employee, a caring son, a loving father, and the strongest support system of our family. We never imagined that a normal day would turn into the darkest chapter of our lives.
A few weeks ago, my husband suddenly passed away. He was only 40. His loss has shattered our family emotionally and left us completely broken financially. He was the sole earning member of our household, and now, I’m left alone with our two small children and ailing mother-in-law.
To add to our pain, just one month before his death, my mother-in-law underwent open-heart surgery. We somehow arranged the funds for her operation through loans and relatives. She is still in recovery, and now there’s no one to manage her treatment, medicines, and care expenses.
Being a housewife, I have never worked before. But now I find myself in a situation where I need to take care of everything — my children’s schooling, house rent, groceries, electricity, my mother-in-law’s medical needs — all while grieving the loss of my life partner.
I have started a fundraiser on Milaap with the hope of raising ₹20,00,000 so I can provide long-term stability to my children, continue their education, support my mother-in-law’s ongoing medical care, and survive the coming months with dignity.
This is not easy for me. I never thought I would have to ask for financial help publicly. But for the future of my children, I’m gathering every bit of courage I have and reaching out to kind-hearted people like you.
🙏 Please help us — your contribution, no matter how small, will mean a lot to us. It will help us survive this storm and take one small step toward rebuilding our life. If you are unable to donate, I request you to kindly share this with your friends and family.
