One of the deployments of our Padma Vitals Device is in the monitoring of patients connected with PHCs in Karnataka and Northeast states. This is used in the monitoring of patients recovering from surgery, illness or suffering from some chronic diseases. They will be used for a fixed duration and then moved to other needy patients.
Padma Vitals will be used in hospitals and other care setups using a gateway and at homes through a smart phone. These patients who are going to be monitored at their homes, usually do not have a smart phone nor have one not suitable for reliable monitoring, therefore need to be provided with one.
The project’s part capital for the device and training, implementation is taken care of by Cardiac Design Labs. The NGO implementing the project has already taken care of a large portion of capital for the device.
Requesting support from friends, colleagues and well-wishers for the phones for the first 500 devices. We have identified a low cost smart phone for the project. One is a Nokia and other an Itel. They cost between rupees 5000 – 6000.
The patients will be monitored from a central location and the Padma Vitals will be used by the patient continuously or intermittently. The device is easy to put on by the patients themselves.
Padma Vitals is a powerful device that gives ICU quality monitoring with local and remote capability. The expert can login to any patient based on need or alert from the central location. It brings ECG, Heart rate, SpO2, Respiration Rate, Body temperature and cuffless blood pressure trend. https://lnkd.in/gwQcPTcq
