    This fundraiser will benefit

    Mamta Sinha

    from Bengaluru, Karnataka

Dear Supporters,

My name is Ankur Anand and I'm raising funds for my mother, Mamta Sinha, who is battling advanced-stage cancer for the past 1 year. The breast cancer has metastasized and spread to her liver, bones, lungs, and brain. The treatment, although being cost-intensive, is helping to keep the spread in the body under control, but the brain lesions are increasing and our only hope is the medicine Tukysa (Tucatinib) which is FDA-approved but is not available in India. The total cost comes to INR 72 Lakhs, which is the reason for the fundraiser.

Mamta Sinha is a loving mother of 3 children, including me, and was a primary school teacher before cancer went to the advanced stage. She is still having her sweet nature intact but it's evident that she is losing her memory and comprehension skills. If not treated with the medicines prescribed by the doctor, she will keep losing her brain functions and as a son, it is very hard to watch her degenerating like this.

She has HER2+ breast cancer which is more aggressive than other kinds of breast cancers. Her behavioral changes were tried to get in control with full brain radiation and ongoing chemotherapy with trastuzumab. The brain lesions are still increasing and the treating doctor has advised the medicine Tucatinib (Brand: Tukysa, manufactured by Seagen, which is not available in India) to be given in combination with the existing chemotherapy drugs.

The medicine has to be imported from the US or Europe and each bottle costs EUR 9659, which lasts for 21 days. This is equivalent to INR 8.5 Lakhs.
The doctor estimates 6 months on this medication, which will cost approx 72 Lakhs INR and will be needed to be paid out-of-pocket. I'm asking for your helping hands to contribute whatever amount you can to help me get these life-saving drugs so that my mother can be treated.

As the amount required is huge, I request you to kindly contribute towards the treatment and help during this time of need. Each contribution is important!

Please help us raise this amount by clicking on the donate button and sharing this page with your friends and family.
We are grateful for your help and wishes.

Thank you.
