Majid Ulla had a vehicle run over his leg about 3 months ago, which caused multiple fractures in his ankle. He visited Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where he was told that he needs a surgery which would cost him about a lakh. This was an amount that the family could not afford, and they had no choice but to leave it untreated. Majid Ulla was in pain and was bed ridden. By the time I found out about it, 2 months had already passed. We then took him to Sathya Sai Hospital in Whitefield since they provide free treatment for such cases. When the doctors saw his X-ray, they were shell shocked at how this man had lived with this pain for so long. They said that the bones were shattered, and given how much time had elapsed, it would be  a complicated procedure. Nevertheless, they confirmed that he could be operated upon. After multiple visits, tests, and consultations, we were told that he is on a waitlist for his surgery, and that he'll be notified when his turn comes. It's been more than a month now, and given the sheer number of surgeries that Sathya Sai hospital conducts, we are unsure when his number will come.

Majid Ulla has been fairly immobile since the accident, and has not been able to get back to work due to this either. And for a family like his, every penny matters. Given the complications, the pain, and the urgency, we have decided to raise funds, and get him operated at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. I have attached his medical documents here. The surgery will help put the bones in his ankle back into place, and the doctors are positive that this will restore normal movement.
