My name is Saurav Mukherjee. I have always kept my private life quiet and away from the public eye. But today, I am reaching out because I am fighting a battle that is completely beyond my individual strength. I am trying to save my wife, Madhurima Roy Chowdhury, who is just 33 years old.
The Journey So Far
Madhurima was recently diagnosed with HER2-Positive Breast Cancer, an aggressive form of the disease that requires immediate and intensive medical intervention.
- Surgery Completed: She has already undergone a major surgery (a left mastectomy).
- Treatment Progress: We have successfully completed her second cycle of chemotherapy.
- Financial Impact: Thus far, we have already exhausted Rs. 6,00,000 from our personal savings and resources to cover the surgery and initial treatments.
The Road Ahead & Financial Gap
Madhurima’s battle is far from over. Her medical team has outlined an extensive, multi-layered treatment plan that cannot afford any delays:
- 2 More Major Chemotherapy Sessions: Required immediately to target the remaining cancer cells.
- Targeted/Therapeutic Chemotherapy: A long sequence of targeted therapies will begin right after the major chemo cycles to prevent recurrence.
The total estimated requirement for the entirety of her treatment is Rs. 19,85,000. While I am doing absolutely everything within my power, I have hit my financial limits. Every single day of delay impacts her chances of a full recovery.
