Maa Anandmayee Memorial School is located at Raiwala, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was established in 1985 as a non-profit by late Shri Ram Panjwani for supporting the urgent need to provide affordable modern education to the children of the displaced community of the Tehri region, right after the construction of the Tehri Dam.
At MAMS, while satisfying the usual curriculum requirements, the school especially aims at imparting education which includes refined manners and meaningful interaction with the environment, good moral character and all-round development of personality, and development of creative and artistic faculties.
MAMS is trying to do its very limited in this society by providing Free (Sponsored) Education to the underprivileged students by the help of Sponsorship. Around four years ago, Garima Tyagi became the first student to receive this kind of support from a noble-minded philanthropist based in Geneva (Switzerland). She continued receiving this support for five years, until she completed her class XII.
In the times of COVID19, when everything has mostly come to a standstill, MAMS has led the way and strived to facilitate uninterrupted and best possible contemporary education for our students.
Notwithstanding multiple constraints, MAMS has neither paused the remote learning methodology nor held back from our commitment to the welfare of those who are continuously upgrading and up scaling themselves to ensure online teaching. Having said that, the inflow of revenue from fees has surely taken a significant hit leading all educational institutions to be deeply impacted.
As the situation is unpredictable, it makes it all the more imperative for schools to generate funds from other sources to support many of our students who hail from underserved backgrounds. The situation warrants us to rise to the challenges and we wholeheartedly realise our responsibilities towards these students. In short, we definitely do not want a serious crisis to go waste.
As a responsible and empathetic citizen, we humbly request you to understand and respect the value of education more now than ever before. We truly believe in the relevance of adequate skills being imparted through our multiple programmes that will aid students in finding solutions to lead us through unprecedented global challenges. It is time for each one of us to acknowledge the significance of education and to foremost consider it as an INVESTMENT and not just an EXPENSE.
We urge you to understand and appreciate the dreams and aspirations of a student and be a part of his/her journey. Please support and contribute benevolently towards this mission so that students, teachers and temples of learning are protected from oblivion's curse. Remember, no contribution is too small, and together we can make a significant difference in a child's life.
Your donations will be used immediately to extend education to at least 100 students like Garima. The nature of this support will include to meet present educational needs of students.
