Introduction: In India, the harsh grip of poverty denies education to children from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, perpetuating a cycle of illiteracy. Globally, policies are reshaping education budgets to prioritise the most vulnerable children. Support the Little Literacy Library, a heartwarming initiative committed to bridging the educational gap in marginalised communities in Kolkata, India. Conceived by a compassionate teenager, this initiative emerged from a Diwali workshop that successfully raised funds, envisioning a society where inequality is met with education.

Core Belief: At its core, the initiative champions education as a fundamental right for every child. We aspire to cultivate a secure and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive. Our mission is to unlock the untapped potential of the next generation by seamlessly integrating English language proficiency with education in essential life skills, food, nutrition, and health. As a testament to our commitment, we provide monthly nutritious meals and free visits of our Mobile Teaching Kitchen (MTK)to slum areas, ensuring motivation and engagement.

Aim: We aim to ignite the untapped potential of the next generation, harmonising linguistic aspects of literacy with essential life skills in food, nutrition, and health.

Mission: We are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and transcend the barriers that poverty imposes on their education.

Current Impact: The Little Literacy Library is a scalable project currently thriving in Kolkata, offering free education, stationery, and nutritious meals to approximately 45 children in two slums every month. However, we recognise the need to expand our reach to a broader population in India, ultimately shaping a brighter future for the country through Foreign Language Literacy.

1,000 INR feeds a child for a week.

50,000 INR provides educational materials to a community.

4,000 INR support to the librarian for a month
