After being pressurized by her in-laws for years to have a baby boy, Lakshmi was blessed with boy-girl dizygotic twins, after having three girls. Armugam is a daily wager. A few years back, he lost his four fingers on the right hand, while operating a sugarcane machine.
Their eldest daughter aspires to become a CA and is now pursuing her 12th standard. She is a very bright kid, self-made and has been performing excellently in her academics without any extra coaching. However, for her CA foundation course, she needs financial help. Their 2nd daughter is studying in 10th standard and the 3rd daughter is in 6th standard. The twins have been recently promoted to 3rd grade.
Currently, Arumugam works as a daily wager for loading and unloading of soil from the lorry with a construction contractor.
Lakshmi starts her day at 4:30 in the morning. She works as a maid and a cook in 9 different houses, till 9:00 PM at night to support her family. However, both Lakshmi and her husband, earn less than Rs. 20,000 every month, which is not sufficient to run the family and support the basic education of their 5 kids.
