Background:
Since 2016 Samait Shala has been working with community schools with the vision to bring Inclusion for children with high learning gaps and learning difficulties alive. It has been a dream to see every child engaging and learning in the classroom. We have worked with more than 200 teachers in 5 schools. Below is a little glimpse of our work:
Current times:
The unprecedented time of COVID has led to multiple challenges for the schools we support; like:
- More than 50% of children unable to access learning with their teachers
- Parent's unawareness about the continuity of learning in these times
- Teachers facing challenges to reach out to students to deliver effective lessons
- Lack of appropriate digital devices to connect with students
- Teaching over a 5.5 inch screen is leading to constant stress for teachers
- Priority of survival for all has taken away the opportunity Education can bring
