I am a final year undergraduate student at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. I recently got selected as one of the 300 delegates from all over the world for the very reputed HPAIR (The Harvard Project for Asian & International Relations) - Harvard College Conference which is at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, the USA from 15 February 2019 to 18 February 2019.

This is my first crowdfunding campaign, and I seek your help in making my efforts reap fruits.

A brief overview of HPAIR: the Harvard College Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR), is a recognized student-run organization of the Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences. HPAIR organizes Harvard University’s largest annual student conferences in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 1991, the conference has continuously gathered a growing pool of international students from top universities, renowned academics, business professionals, and political leaders to engage in its rigorous educational events.
Following are the goals of HPAIR:
  • Provide a dynamic forum of exchange on international issues vital to Asia
  • Foster long-term relationships among young leaders from around the globe
  • Connect talented delegates with some of today’s leaders in academia, business and government.
Technology and Entrepreneurship Track: I have been selected under the Technology and Entrepreneurship track. This track will celebrate the most recent advancements in human knowledge, including cutting-edge topics such as blockchain as well as innovations in traditional business models. Recently, Artificial Intelligence has plunged itself into the heart of technological innovation. In fact, many Asian countries have developed and implemented technological advancements that have leapfrogged the western world. However, thinking of expansion outside of the Asian region is still a sore spot for many Asian entrepreneurs. This track aims to address the struggles that entrepreneurs in Asia face when looking to expand outside of the Asian market and will offer insight into strategies for effective growth into foreign markets.

The Opportunity:
The Harvard College Conference is truly going to serve as the gateway for my dreams and is definitely going to be a door for my future endeavours in the field of technology and entrepreneurship.
Following are some of my previous achievements:
  1. Selected by the Government of India to represent the country in China as a member of the Indian Youth Delegation to China comprising National Awardees, Youth Leaders, Government officials and selected students from IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, etc.
  2. Awarded by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on organizing Startup India Yatra - Varanasi Edition in collaboration with Invest India and Startup India.
  3. Selected for Indian Academy of Sciences Summer Research Fellowship Program.
  4. Organized Hult Prize @ Banaras Hindu University which was selected among top 20 Hult Prize Events in the world.
  5. Recipient of the National Merit Scholarship awarded to the top 25 per cent students of the batch.
The Obstacle:
Money is the only obstacle which is stopping me to attend this conference. Coming from a lower middle-class family, it is not possible for me to arrange such a large amount.
The details of the estimated expense are :
Registration fee : $400 (28,152 INR)
Accommodation charges: $90 (6,334 INR)
Visa fee : $160 (11,290 INR)
Flight (Cheapest fare) : 63,500 INR
Total : 1,09,276 INR

The Request:
I'd highly appreciate any contribution made for this, be it very small. A contribution of a few bucks may not affect your life but it can open a gateway to new opportunities and can do wonders for me.
