📢 Urgent Medical Crowdfunding Request 🏥
We are reaching out to you with a plea for help for a 9-year-old, who is bravely battling Transverse Myelitis, a severe neurological condition. This courageous child is currently on a ventilator and requires immediate medical treatment, but his mother is unable to bear the enormous financial burden alone.
🏩 Medical Diagnosis:
The young boy has been diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis, a debilitating condition affecting the spinal cord and hence 100% lower and 80% upper body organs (paralysis). As a result, he is dependent on a ventilator for breathing, and his condition requires extensive medical intervention and specialized care as his immune system helps recover.
❤️ A Mother's Struggle:
His mother, Nivedita Singh, a single earning member in household of 6, is overwhelmed by the emotional and financial challenges she is facing. Further to this, she was in the middle of shifting jobs (Field sales in Kotak) when this unfortunate mishap occured. She has access to limited 2.5 Lakhs corporate health insurance from current employer and another 2-2.5 Lakhs from friends and family (total ~INR 4.5-5L). Unfortunately no personal health coverage due to limited dispensable income. She desperately wants to provide the best possible treatment for her son but is unable to meet the staggering medical expenses, which amount to estimated total 35 Lakhs.
