This is for Komal, who lives in my neighbourhood in my home country (India, Niwai). She is 19 years old, the eldest among the siblings of 4 (3 sisters and 1 youngest brother). She was diagnosed with blood cancer stage 3 in 2019 and now almost recovered from this deadly disease.

After her recovery, she has become stronger and focused and wants to pursue a career in Masters in Arts with Textile specialization. It will help her to gain financial independence and support her family. Her parents are not educated and falls under the ‘Below Poverty Level’ category. Due to covid, they are already going through financial hardships to feed the family, they cannot afford to pay the fees for the master’s degree. Her father got a heart attack too in 2018 and in debt due to his treatment already. He is still not in good health.

With the guidance and support of the Banasthali Family especially Dr Harsh Purohit Sir (Dean, MBA, Banasthali Vidyapeeth ), and her deep interest in textile designing, Komal has chosen to pursue the Master's in Textile from Banasthali. The tuition fee for this 2-year course is around 5000$ (3 Lakhs~).

This fundraiser is created to help Komal in paying her college tuition fees and give her an environment where she can focus her energy on completing her education.
