EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME

Deaf Youth value the qualities of a good leader and seek to promote such qualities in them. In order to foster community leadership,Universal Signers, Association of the Deaf & Karnataka Deaf Youth Forum, Deaf Leaders Foundation has instituted a program workshop that might be described as a group laboratory. 

The workshop has deaf role models talking about their experiences growing up and how they have faced challenges. This workshop will provide a platform to and empower the Deaf students in leadership skills through group work, discussions and cooperative learning and experiential learning. The content and presentations will be delivered in Indian Sign Language with interpreters being the communication catalysts. 

This will be an enriching and a lifetime learning experience for Deaf young persons.
The workshop is for youths both Girls and Boys  with hearing and speech impairment to engage in a networked forum and be motivated by the
leadership training programme.
