UPDATE - Dear Supporters & Well-Wishers,
I wanted to reach out personally to share an update on Karuna Kumari’s recovery journey. Over the past few months, she has shown immense courage while going through two major surgeries — one on her right leg for decomposition and another on her left leg for replacement.
I wanted to reach out personally to share an update on Karuna Kumari’s recovery journey. Over the past few months, she has shown immense courage while going through two major surgeries — one on her right leg for decomposition and another on her left leg for replacement.
We are so thankful that her left leg is healing beautifully and is now functioning well. However, living with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) has made the process far more painful and difficult for her, slowing down recovery and adding to her struggle, even as she bravely healed from her earlier surgery. Her right leg has unfortunately developed further complications, and the doctors have advised another surgery, this time for replacement, to help her fully regain mobility and live without pain.
This journey has been long and deeply challenging for Karuna and her family, but your kindness, generosity, and heartfelt prayers have carried them through the most difficult moments. Every contribution, every encouraging word, and every act of love has made her burden a little lighter and her spirit a little stronger.
On behalf of Karuna and her family, I want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your support is not just helping her heal physically, but also reminding her that she is not alone in this fight. We will forever hold this compassion close to our hearts.
With deepest gratitude and warmth,
A Million Thanks,
Sugandha Sukrutaraj
Dear kind-hearted souls,
I come to you today not just with a request, but with a prayer to help someone who is suffering deeply and urgently needs your compassion and support.
This is the story of a patient battling Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) a painful, lifelong autoimmune disease that weakens the body from within. As if that wasn’t enough, they are now facing a second cruel blow: Advanced Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of both hips.
Imagine living with constant pain that makes even the smallest movement feel like torture. Imagine your bones slowly dying inside you, because blood can no longer reach them. That is the cruel reality of AVN and for this patient, it’s happening in both hips.
Doctors have found that 50–60% of both femoral heads (the top part of the thigh bones) are already damaged. The left hip is starting to collapse. The right is not far behind. If left untreated, this condition will lead to permanent disability, taking away the ability to walk, stand, or live with independence or dignity.
But there is hope. There is a window of time a narrow one where surgery can save the hips. A procedure called bilateral femoral head decompression can relieve the pressure inside the bones, restore blood flow, and stop the collapse. It could give this person their life back.
Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery, treatment, hospitalization, and recovery is more than the family can bear. They are already exhausted emotionally and financially from fighting SLE. Now, they are facing this terrifying new battle and they cannot do it alone.
We are humbly asking for your help to raise INR [Insert Amount] for:
Please help us by donating and sharing this message. You could be the reason someone walks again free from pain, free from fear, and full of hope.

- Urgent hip decompression surgery for both hips
- Hospital stay and medications
- Post-surgery recovery and rehabilitation
- Continued care for SLE, which complicates surgery and healing
