This lockdown made me realise that if a 17-year-old boy can travel hundreds of Kilometers to get back to his home town, then a 17-year-old who has all the resources needed can also initiate the process of helping thousands around him. Anulavan is a campaign which focuses on dealing with the long-term effects of the COVID-19 on small scale farmers. We aim at helping small scale farmers tackle various problems that are expected to come complimentary with the changing conditions.
With around 85 per cent of the Indian households being small and marginal farmers and a significant proportion of the population being landless farm labourers it becomes important for us to aid these farmers in every way possible.
Currently, the rural credit system of India has been severely affected leaving farmers with little or no money to plan their next harvest. As the Kharif season (June to end October) is fast approaching the farmers need to be equipped with the adequate resources for the harvest. Anulavan aims at providing small scale farmers with these resources through your support.
We will be needing your support between the moths of June to end of October. The funds that we raise from this campaign will be used to buy seeds, fertilizers and pesticides and these essentials will then be given to the farmers mainly in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand and Bihar. Moreover, once the adequate amount of funds are raised the donors will be updated about our progress through our social media handles.
