Karam Singh,75 a small roadside shop vendor in Champawat district of Uttarakhand is the main bread earner of his family who got into an accident and left his family in dire situation. On 13th December, while riding public transport, he lost his balance and came under the bus and got severely injured. He was rushed to the local hospital where he was referred to the higher center. Two days later, he got admitted to the ‘Beg Hospital’ in a different city.

Coming from a very poor family, his son and daughter in-law somehow managed the money by borrowing from friends, relatives including all of their hard earned savings. Already spent approx. 2 lakhs, Karam Singh needs another 1 lakh for his treatment and to fully recover. He was in ICU for the first few days to remove the water from the leg wounds and avoid infection. Doctors are waiting for the skin to reform so that they can proceed with rod implantation in his leg/s to fix the fracture.

The treatment is long and tiring with Karam Singh’s son taking care of his father in an unknown city and his daughter-in-law at home looking after the family.

I personally know this family and started this fundraiser with the hope that he will get the money and the right treatment. Help this poor family to overcome this tragedy by donating the amount.
