I'm the only child of my single mother and has been managing everything in the hospital since 40+ days (from buying medicines to finding trolley man in a govt. hospital in order to take her for tests in different buildings, listening 10 times a day that why there's not a male with me). We're from Muzaffarpur (Bihar) and her treatment is currently going on in Patna. We both are artists from profession and spirit. My mother has been working in the entertainment industry when there was few women in it from Bihar. We've never been financially stable and covid made our lives extremely difficult in all aspects. Few months after my graduation from Delhi University, when I joined my first full time job as a teacher and was trying to save for my future was when my mother got sick in March. Since April, she's been in ICUs and HDUs and I've signed many high risk consents that clearly stated that the chances are less. BUT SHE IS STRONG.
She had infection in lungs (which is cured now and she's no more 24/7 dependent on an oxygen source) and both her kidneys are affected due to diabetes. She can't see and walk properly as well due to the same reason. Since 1st May, she's unconscious and the doctors have not been able to find one specific reason for it. There could be multitude of aspects behind her state and medicines, tests and continuous dialysis aren't helping. We don't even know if it's purely mental or physical as she has a history in both cases as life has literally never been easy for her. Never been easy for us. For this particular hardship though, me and my mother needs your help. I'm totally in debt and the treatment can't be stopped because it will be risky to take her home when she can't even eat naturally and her situation fluctuates. I want to take her to advanced places as well if she doesn't recover here. But we don't have the adequate financial resources for further treatment or even paying back the people who've helped us yet and now finding it difficult as they have financial constraints too. Mom is my world and my future without her will forever be incomplete. Your small donation and sharing the campaign with others can make a real difference in my life.
