Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues, and Well-Wishers,
My husband, Kamal, has been in the ICU in Singapore for the past two weeks after suffering a serious and life-threatening **aortic dissection. He remains critically ill and unconscious, and we continue to pray every day for his recovery.
Kamal is a dedicated marine professional who spent many years sailing across the world before moving ashore into ship management, most recently working as a Fleet Manager. He has always been passionate about the marine industry, committed to his work, and actively involved in the marine community in Singapore. He also has a great love for cricket and has always been an energetic and positive presence among family, friends, and colleagues.
Today, as Kamal lies unconscious and fights through this critical condition, we are humbly reaching out for your support to help him through this difficult journey.
We have two young children, aged 5 and 10, who miss their father deeply and are waiting for him to come home. Seeing Kamal in this condition while trying to stay strong for our children has been incredibly difficult for our family.
We are grateful for the support available through Kamal’s company and insurance. However, his continued ICU treatment and the possibility of arranging a medically supported transfer or private air ambulance to India involve significant additional expenses.
Our greatest hope is to bring Kamal back to India, once his doctors confirm that he is medically fit to travel, so he can continue his treatment closer to family and our support system.
Through this Milaap campaign, we are seeking your support for Kamal’s ongoing medical care and the expenses involved in safely bringing him home to India.
Every contribution, no matter how small, every prayer, and every thought for Kamal means more to us than words can express. Your support gives us strength and hope that he will recover, regain his health, and once again be back among his family, friends, and loved ones.
If you are unable to contribute, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, colleagues, and wider network.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, prayers, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
With heartfelt gratitude
