“Save My Younger Brother Chandu – Still Unconscious After 2 Surgeries”
My name is Kalaganti Rajesh, and I am raising funds for my younger brother, K. Chandu (26 years old).
Chandu, who completed his ITI, is the younger son in our family. Our parents are uneducated and live in our village, and I am the only earning member of the family. I work in Hyderabad after completing my degree, but for the last two months, I have been on leave and staying at the hospital to take care of my brother.
On May 12th, Chandu was suddenly diagnosed with severe Acute Pancreatitis. He was first admitted to Foundation Hospital, Kakinada, where we spent around ₹7.8 lakhs over 2 months. Later, we shifted him to a Trust Hospital, Kakinada, where the treatment cost another ₹1.4 lakhs. On the doctors’ advice, we finally shifted Chandu to NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad, on July 14th, where he underwent two major surgeries (bills are still pending).
Since his admission to NIMS, we have been spending nearly approximately ₹15,000 per day on medicines, amounting to more than ₹3 lakhs already. As of now, our funds are completely exhausted. The hospital bills from July 14th onwards are still unpaid, and doctors have given an estimate of ₹6 lakhs for pending and upcoming treatment.
Even after all this, my brother is still unconscious. The doctors have now recommended shifting him to a rehabilitation centre for long-term recovery. So far, I have managed to arrange about ₹12.5 lakhs (all through borrowings). But for his continued treatment and rehabilitation, we still need around ₹15 lakhs more.
A few kind-hearted people from our locality have contributed ₹82,000, but this is far from what is required. With no other source of income, I alone cannot meet these overwhelming medical expenses.
🙏 That is why I am humbly requesting your support. Even the smallest contribution will go a long way in helping save my younger brother’s life.
If you are unable to donate, please help us by sharing this fundraiser with your friends, colleagues, and community. Every share brings us closer to saving Chandu.
I will keep posting regular updates about his health and progress here.
