My son Bharath Kannan was born in 2005 with bilateral sensory neural hearing loss. We went in for a cochlear implant Sri Ramachandra Medical university, Porur, chennai in the year 2008 for his right ear with basic sprint processor. Even after 4 years of implant and intense speech therapy, we saw lag in his speech development. In 2012, we bought him an upgraded cp 810 processor as per the suggestions of the audiologist. The child started developing well in terms of speech and language. These instruments usually have a life of 5 years only after which they lose their clarity. Due to financial constrains in our family we are unable to get him a new nucleus 7 processor. He is struggling to hear through his old processor now which is impacting his regular communication and academics. I request all the noble hearts to contribute for my son's nucleus 7 processor and help him hear better. Thanks in advance.
