Hi all,

My name is Ravikumar Tandra, and I am raising funds for my mother, Jyothi Tandra

Problem #1
She has been fighting with Uncontrolled Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Hypertension, Hypothyroidism, Reeling Sensation and Surgery Medical Management of Refractory Cardiac failure and Chronic Kidney disease for one year.

She is having treatment in ICU with ventilation support since February 4th 2019. She is currently undergoing treatment at GEMS Hospital, Ragolu, Srikakulam. She has been suffering for more than a year and it has been a tough time for me and my family. Medications is her only hope at getting better and living a normal life.

Her treatment will cost approximately Rs. ₹2,00,000. We are unable to pay for the treatment right now. The uncontrolled diabetes (type2 diabetes mellitus) which affects heart, kidneys and liver functionalities. Her creatinine levels are increasing and it may lead to dialysis

So, she has to undergo treatment of surgery medical management of refractory cardiac & kidney failure. Due to Hypertension, Hypothyroidism, Reeling Sensation, Lymphedema and Obesity she won't be able to walk properly and needs complete bed rest for lifetime. If she is out of danger, after treatment her monthly medicines like Insulins (Humalog {short acting} & Basalog {long acting}) & Cardiology Medicines will cost ₹7000/- per month (at home). But currently her hospital treatment cost is increasing day by day. She is also under depression that we are spending more money for her better health. it's been very difficult situation for our family. So far we spent ₹5,00,000/- and right now we need ₹2,00,000/- more for her fast treatment and recovery.

UPDATE: Problem #1 mentioned above is under control and she is out of danger. But, due to Problem #2 Problem #3 still she is undergoing the same treatment at hospital.
The funds raised will be used towards her:
Hospital Bills, Post-operative care, Medicines, Doctor's Consultation Charges

Problem #2
She has been having cracks on her heels for 3 months. Some part of the cracks removed automatically. Due to uncontrolled type-2 diabetes it became wounded and not healed properly. Plastic surgeon checked and removed all necrotic and infected tissue. Dressing was done for 2 weeks.
Later, plastic surgeon noticed that inner part of the diabetic foot got infected, then he performed a surgery operation on April 4th, 2019 by giving anesthesia injection to the spinal cord nerve and removed the entire infected flesh. Dressing had done for 18 days with EUSOL Solution.

UPDATE: After that infection started from below the foot and it could not be controlled. Again plastic surgeon performed the same operation on 27th April, 2019 and removed the leg up to the infection has spread through bloodstream. Two months of struggle not saved her leg. Up to now, we have spent ₹1,00,000/- for the surgery treatment and the post-operative care estimated cost is nearly ₹2,00,000/- for the next 12 months.

Problem #3
42 years old mother fighting with diabetes for 14 years. Diabetes hurt my mother's central vision slowly and made her both eyes blur on April 12th, 2019. After examination, ophthalmologist suggested green laser treatment for both eyes called Pan-retinal Photocoagulation (PRP) for 10 minutes in three sessions due to blockage of the fluid inside the eyeball caused by growth on new blood vessels in the eyeball drainage system

UPDATE: PRP has done to the both eyes in 3 weeks. As ophthalmologist already said there is no improvement in the eye vision because the aim of the treatment is not to prevent loss of vision as there will already be very poor vision that cannot be improved due to the underlying disease. The aim is to prevent the eye becoming painful through a build-up in fluid in the eye raising the pressure in the eyeball. Depending on her condition after 3-4 months an operation will be requiredThis operation will cost approximately ₹40,000/-.
