This fund raising is being done to support the 16 Garo wage workers who are stranded in various parts of Maharashtra. They are struggling to sustain themselves in this current Covid-19 lock down scenario and they don't have the means to go back home. But, it is their utmost wish to go back home.
This fund raising will provide for the pick up of these wage workers from their respective places they reside in Maharashtra to the railway station either in Mumbai or Pune, train ticket from Mumbai or Pune to Guwahati, vehicle cost from Guwahati to their respective villages in Meghalaya, fooding and other miscellaneous cost.
