Hi, My name is Aravind and I am raising funds for my father, Jayaramu. He is Retired.
He has been fighting Central Nervous System Lymphoma (A type of brain tumor). He had a relapsed CNS lymphoma recently. The doctor has advised going for a nivolumab chemotherapy, they have already given rituximab chemotherapy, so far he has not responded.
The doctor has also advised for a targeted radiotherapy for the brain. Because of the shortage of funds we have not considered either of the choices. For nivolumab, it costs about 2 lacs per dose of the chemo injection and there will be 3-4 doses for the full cycle of Chemotherapy. And also for radiotherapy 5 cycles for 5 days is needed. It would cost roughly 2 lacs in total for radiotherapy. considering the management of the my father's condition as well as for the hospital expenses, I am looking in the range of Rs. 20,00,000 for the medical expenses. But once the amount reaches to 75% we can go ahed with the treatment.
Currently, he is in a hospice care for the time being. He is not admitted now. He was released from the hospital on 15/02/2019. He has been suffering for over a month and it has been a tough time for me and my family.
Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy is his only hope at getting better and living a normal life
