Jaipur is known as the "pink city" because of the immense love it carries in its heart for culture, art, and artists. In a city that is in love with traditions and rituals, the concept of comedy as an art form is fairly new. That's not to say that it doesn't respect this art form, because it does, or at least it's trying. We, the Jaipur Comedy Circuit, were just in the process of making a massive change in Jaipur by introducing and establishing Jaipur's first-ever comedy club dedicated to art and artists, called Jaipur Comedy Club. When we were finally somewhat on our feet, the owner decided to sell the entire building and gave us the notice to vacate in a month. We were asked to relocate when we were just beginning to break even. Finding a new space in a good area with affordable rent was a feat we weren't prepared for.

We looked at a lot of places and found this one that we know would be perfect, and we really love it, but setting it up would easily come to be around Rs. 2 Lakhs (new rent, security, electricity, infrastructure, stage, lighting and many other things that will inevitably come up once we open). We've exhausted all our funds, but we just can't let this dream go, not because of insufficient funds. That's why we're here imploring anyone and everyone out there, comedy lover or not, artist or not, to please contribute as much as you can for this club, which will pave the way for comedians from small cities like Jaipur. Jaipur right now knows comedy, it's a fan, it watches comedy on YouTube; it just doesn't know where and how to go to live shows, and we want to change that for Jaipur. We want to be the one place for them, but we need your help in that. Please help us save our dream, our home, and potentially Jaipur's pride. This goes without saying, but even the tiniest amount will make a huge difference for us at this point. We promise this will not go to waste. We'll do everything possible to make this club the definition and location of great comedy for Jaipur and its beautiful people. They deserve it.
