Hi! I am Jainab Shaikh. I accepted the admission offer from Krea University and will be Joining the university in late August 2022. Krea is a private university located in Sri City, Andra Pardesh. It provides liberal education and has a unique interwoven learning model. I am grateful for the opportunity to study here and also have some of the major expenses covered. Krea collaborated with the College Board India Scholars Program to award me a 100% tuition scholarship because of my noteworthy performance on the SAT. My living expenses (including the meal and hostel costs) will be taken care of by the financial aid provided by my school: Avasara Academy.
Going to university is a wonderful experience and can become a financially burdensome decision. For my family, it has been the same. We are a family of five: my mother, father, a brother, a sister and myself, with only my father as the earning member. He has a tailoring business, from which he only earns enough to feed us and provide other basic necessities. Last year, my brother got into VJTI college for a diploma course and received a 100% tuition scholarship due to our economical conditions. My father takes care of his hostel and meal costs, and that has made things financially hard at home. Prior to this, we did not have any significant educational costs as I studied at Avasara academy with a 100% scholarship and so does my sister. My brother completed his 10th from a PMC school. Hence, paying my brother's living expenses has come to us as a major expense. Given the financial situation at home, my family cannot provide me with a laptop for my college education which starts approximately a month from now. The laptop is unaffordable for my family, but it is an essential device for my further education. For me to be able to afford that, I am looking forward to your help.
As suggested by my counsellor, I am planning to buy ASUS VivoBook K15 OLED. Right now the laptop costs INR 42,400. Taking into consideration the possible fluctuations in the price and that 3% of the amount goes to Milaap, I am trying to raise INR 45,000.
