Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi, an ENT surgeon, inventor of 18+ medical devices, social activist and stand up comedian has been very active in trying to spread vital information about Corona virus/Covid19 through entertaining comedy videos. You may have seen his videos circulating in your WhatsApp groups as the doctor who sits in his car and talks / raps like the virus, but shares accurate information and awareness on the disease and it's prevention.

These videos have brought awareness to many but in the process has also demonstrated the massive requirement for correct adherence to self quarantine protocols. If there is one thing that can break the chain of spread of COVID19 is effective self quarantine. At the moment many are home quarantined but are not adhering to it properly and compromising the risk to their loved ones, because those who are asked to quarantine are most likely to have Covid19 and are at most highest risk of spreading it. There are NO solutions available to ensure quality Quarantine. Seeing this need Dr. Jagdish put together a team and a plan to ensure that those quarantined will get the guidance over 14 days to effectively follow protocols and use their time effectively. This will include 5 scheduled calls every day from qualified Doctors, Mental Health Professionals, Celebrities, Activity facilitators and other home quarantined individuals. The idea is to provide medical knowledge, mental support and activities that can help one make use of their time effectively while at home quarantine.
In addition it was noticed that there is a need for accurate and verified information as there is so much of fake information floating on social media. After receiving 100's of calls and thousands of messages each day on doubts related to COVID19, the Covid19 support helpline will also have a provision to allow anyone who thinks they have Covid19 or doubts on it to
- Speak to a qualified Doctor to get their doubts clarified
- get exclusive telephonic/video Quarantine guidance and support for those in self quarantine
- Verified and authentic updates on COVID19

The helpline will be hosted on a web/application portal which will be developed rapidly to host and support several thousand calls and messages. The data generated will be used to analyse the real-time growth of COVID19 in our community, to bring real information and updates to the public and government organisations. Funds will be used towards quick development of the platform, capability building for large volume calls, maintainance of high volume data, analysis of real-time information and recruitment/training of healthcare professionals who will take up the task of addressing over 100K queries.
We are a country of 1.3 billion people and accurate information along with effective quarantine will be critical to save millions of lives that can be affected by this deadly virus.
