Over the last 12 years, Jaagriti has been engaged in providing non-formal education to the children of poor migrant workers in Dwarka, New Delhi. Through our various education, skill-building, and health initiatives, we have impacted the lives of over 500 children from 200+ families.

Jaagriti is an entirely volunteer-driven organization that ensures 100% of the funds raised are used in the activities. We work very closely with youth volunteers from nearby colleges and universities.

Currently, Jaagriti has around 50 children receiving non-formal education at 2 education centers in Dwarka, New Delhi. We have 2 teachers who teach the students 6 days a week and 3 hours daily. The children are from different age groups and in classes 1-5. Apart from education, we also organize regular skill-building activities and celebrate different festivals with the children.

Fund Utilization:
We now need funds for regular running of the centers for the year 2022. The cost for each children comes to Rs. 400 per month which includes classroom rent, teachers salary, stationary and expenses for skill building activities. In total, for 50 students the expense will be Rs. 240,000 for the entire year 2022.
