I am Divya Rodricks, raising funds for my friend Ivy* to receive gender affirming surgery. Ivy is a 25 year old trans man from Mumbai who will be having top surgery in December 2024.To safeguard his privacy, I will be raising funds on his behalf because if he is outed to his family or relatives it could put him at risk.

What is the surgery costs?
The surgery will be happening at a clinic in Thailand that specializes in gender affirming surgeries. The total amount we have to raise is Rs. 4,00,000 which includes:

What is the surgery costs?
The surgery will be happening at a clinic in Thailand that specializes in gender affirming surgeries. The total amount we have to raise is Rs. 4,00,000 which includes:
- Mastectomy
- Pre and Post-operative medication and care
- Pre-op tests (X rays, Blood tests, Psychiatrist consults, etc.)
- Travel costs
- Hospital accommodation
- Accommodation and meals during the 3-week recovery period
Why does Ivy need this surgery?
Ivy has been binding since puberty, which has caused physical damage to his lower back and ribs. His dysphoria makes daily life difficult.
For 5 years, Ivy has consistently worked to support his family without financial aid, with most earnings from underpaid jobs going to their needs. He has saved a portion for surgery expenses, but we're seeking funds to help cover these costs.
Ivy has dreamt of this for years. Top surgery will ease his dysphoria, improve daily functioning, and help him survive in his transphobic home, allowing him to finally live as himself. Ivy has sacrificed many personal needs due to insufficient funds. The surgery would exhaust his savings that took years to accumulate. With a family to support and a limited income, he can't afford it alone. Top surgery will improve his physical and mental well-being, helping him feel safe and at home in his body.
