WHY “Gurukul” a'LIVE! a Covid-19 Action Response to Give Students their Classroom Back...
“We need to make sure that children are kept in schools and use proactive approaches to get them back to school, particularly in the aftermath of the lockdown when schools were shut. Social protection and cash transfer programmes for families that have been affected the most is essential to help them provide for the basic needs of their families,” - Soledad Herrero, Unicef’s chief of child protection in India.
Just a Donation of INR 6000/- can help us make arrangements to provide digital education to an underprivileged child who may otherwise drop out of education forever.
Our Phase-1 Plan is to adopt Poor people background 100 kids for their education during COVID - 19 from Thamarassery Town , Kozhikode, Kerala Out of 350 children at least 100 students are unable to attend any Online classes because they do not have a smartphone .
With your help, we can prove out this initiative and scale it to more schools, villages, slums and families who are only dropping out because they don’t have access to digital education.
We are looking forward to raise INR 6,30,000 in next 60 Days. This cost will cover 95% of the program cost and 5% operating cost for the volunteers working directly with students and teachers.
