Dear Friends & Supporters,

Indranil Chakrabarti, aged 53 years, was admitted to Peerless Hospitex Hospital & Research Centre in Kolkata on 22nd September 2021. CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft surgery) was scheduled for 23rd September, which was successfully completed.

Indranil was on the recovery path when suddenly, he displayed symptoms of acute embolic stroke which led to multiple health complications as listed below:

1. Developed acute embolic stroke post CABG with right-sided hemiplegia and aphasia.
2.  Acute kidney injury over chronic kidney disease so placed on haemodialysis.
3. Type II Diabetes Mellitus.
4. Hypertension
5. Sepsis
6. Hypothyroid
7. Pressure Ulcers

He will need In-hospital life-support treatment to continue his current hospitalization that is expected to be for 2-months and post hospitalization, he will require rehab treatment at home along with physiotherapy sessions to enable movement and return to normal life.

The overall cost of his treatments, hospitalization and medications are expected to come up to around Rs.50-Lacs that including his current hospitalization bill of Rs.12-Lacs (till date). The family is running short by 30-Lacs as they were able to manage 20-Lacs via insurance and other personal arrangements/sources.
