Desire Society is a 17 year old NGO in India which cares for HIV infected/affected children. The care home run by Desire Society in five states ( Andhra Pradash,Telangana, Karnataka,Delhi and Maharashtra) provides medical treatment, education,shelter to these children.These children are abandoned by one or both parents,children of sex workers,truck drivers or children who have been abused and belong to poor socia-economic conditions.
The organization is run by a board which consists of social entrepreneurs, social activists,doctors, software engineers etc,currently the Desire Society has reached out to 800 children living with HIV/AIDs. Also monthly programs are done for supply of supplementary nutrition kits , school bags , books , stationary etc for about 900 HIV infected children at various camps.With the increasing no of children and also to avoid paying rents , Desire society has initiated the construction of a permanent building (RCC) along with all facilities in Bangalore ,so we look forward for support from everyone.
