    Hassan

    from Lebanon

My Dad Hassan, is the most loving, generous, understanding, and thoughtful father, brother and cousin. He loves sharing his blessings, even his food! He wants everyone to taste whatever it is that he is eating.
He always puts his family before himself. He is the perfect example of the adage: “You’re already about to put the food in your mouth, yet you still give it up for someone else”. He doesn’t mind making sacrifices as long as his family gets spared from it. He’s fun loving, selfless, and really easy to please; for example, just give him a lighter and he’ll be very happy! he wants to leave a legacy for his children and grandchildren. Everything he does is for the family.Last year, my dad was already suffering from an enlarged prostate gland but he wasn’t telling us because he doesn’t want to be a burden to the family. He was having difficulty urinating. He was getting initial treatment, but thankfully we were able to convince him to get treatment so that we can accompany him and take care of him.
Feb, 2020 - His body protested. He wasn’t able to eat because his stomach is rejecting it. We rushed him to the hospital and found out that his creatinine levels were abnormally high. The normal level is 1, Daddy was at 8.
March, 2020 - He underwent an ultrasound and biopsy procedure for his body. That’s when we found out that he already has advanced Stage 3 bladder Cancer.
Jun, 2020 - My Dad underwent surgery to take out the urinal and prostate. It should be removed because it was already Stage 3 cancer. After the operation, we all thought that my dad will be okay, unfortunately that’s when all the other problems came out. He then has Gastroenteritis, Ulcer, and Blood infection. He went in and out of the hospital due to blood found in his stool. When the doctor performed an endoscopy, the doctor said that it was just an ulcer. But when a colonoscopy was performed, it showed that there were large polyps and there was a raised blood vessel that caused the blood found in the stool. They clipped the blood vessel via colonoscopy to stop the bleeding, and a major operation was conducted to remove the large polyp. The bleeding stopped after 7 days of being confined in the hospital, and we were able to go home. 6 days after we got home, the bleeding suddenly started again. There was a lot of clumped up blood and there was blood in his bowels. We rushed him back to the hospital.
He has been through a lot of blood transfusions and up to now he is still under observation. With humble hearts, we ask you to help him fight against cancer and all the complications that come from it. Please help us fight this sickness which is looming over our family right now. We have already exhausted all our resources due to the repeated hospitalizations and treatments and we are asking for your help for the hospital bills and the upcoming procedures and tests that he has to go through. Please help mu father fight this dreaded disease.
