“Association for Social Health in India”, ASHI, is a voluntary and social organization aiming at challenging those conditions that lead to exploitation of women and children for anti-social purposes. The Association is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
One of the main activities of the Association is to provide shelter for Orphaned and destitute children and arrange for their education, vocational training and rehabilitation. The children at our Home are doing very well in studies and quite a few have secured high percentage marks and won scholarships also. The Board of Management is constituted of Volunteers. “Ashiana” means “Nest”, a shelter prepared with tender loving care where nestlings are fed and cared for by parents till they are able to fly themselves and leave the nest. Our Ashiana is a Child Care Institution (Orphaned and destitute children) run by the Association for Social Health in India, Haryana State Branch. This home has been in existence since 1982 and was lodged initially in a rented accommodation. In the year 1993, the Government of Haryana gave a piece of land measuring 1000 square meters at concessional rates. A fund raising drive was instituted towards constructing a Home of our own for the children. With the generosity of our donors, we were able to complete the construction of our 3 storied building where we can accommodate 50 children.

Computer Education: Children from economically weaker sections of the society are being trained free of cost at our Computer Learning Center. A well-equipped laboratory provides 6 months Basic Computer Course including 2 months of soft-skills & English communication course approved by N.C.V.T. and G.O.I.

We have been given one class room in the above mentioned school for setting up a Computer Training Class for the school kids. We will install 24 computers for kids and one for the Instructor(s). The Instructors will be on our payroll. The computer education to the school kids during the school hours will be free. This facility will be used after school hours for training the kids of Anand Shiksha.
