Help us feed the underprivileged and needy amidst this COVID-19 pandemic
It is an unprecedented situation that has adversely handicapped the entire nation into lockdown and shunned lakhs of people to the same level of helplessness.
As we face a nationwide lockdown all those daily wage earners, servants, construction workers, and daily laborers relying on their daily wages to earn their daily bread are left starving and helpless as they have no means of income to feed their families until the lockdown is lifted and they get their jobs back. There are lakhs of them who are stuck here with no resources to even cook as a result they face the grim issue of dying out of starvation.
It is important that in times like this we show solidarity and come forward to help the ones in need. We are on a mission to make Mumbaikars more aware of and ready to fight the pandemic. We have started this campaign to raise funds for the same. We request you to join us in whatever capacity to fight this pandemic by feeding the starving.
The money raised will be used to:
We are trying to help the families of these daily wage earners by supplying them with GROCERY KITS that can sustain their families for a week, or even more than that.
A grocery kit will be comprising sufficient quantities of Atta, Rice, Sugar, Dals, Oil, Tea, Soap Bars, Face masks, Disposable Hand Gloves to the needy.
Each grocery kit will comprise of the following:
Atta 5kg
Rice 2kg
Sugar 1.5kg
Cooking Oil 1L
Tea 250gm
Soap Bar 2pcs
Face Masks 2pcs (3ply)
Disposable Hand Gloves 2 pairs
The cost of each of the above that will help feed & sustain a whole family for a week is Rs. 895/-. It will suffice the food requirements of a family of 4 for a week.
We will give free masks and sanitizers to help prevent the spread of the virus.
We have so far distributed the said kits to more than 2000+ families and would like to reach out to as many more families as we can and request your humble support in this endeavor of ours.
We are also providing hot meals to Langars of Gurudwaras and are in need of funds to continue doing so as we have exhausted our resources.
Any donation towards this noble cause will help us reach out to more people who desperately need this to stay alive.
