His parents noticed that he was not developing usual milestones and did not seem to react to sounds. On evaluation he was found to have bilateral sensorineural hearing loss.

His family has limited means and the treatments are draining their savings. So far they have spent around 60,000 on special tests and doctors visits.

Because Hadi cannot listen, he has not developed speech either.

Doctors have recommended a cochlear implant, the cost of which is 6.30 lakhs with 50,000 to 70,000 hospital charges/implantation fees.

In the next few weeks, they need Rs.7,00,000.
