During the last few weeks, the surge in COVID cases turning fatal and requiring hospitalization has been a matter of great concern. This has put a lot of pressure on our health care professionals and medical infrastructure. Most of us have a loved family member, close friend or a neighbour who has been affected severely either due to the infection or its aftereffects on their health.
Gayatri Vidya Parishad Institute of Health Care and Medical Technology (GVPIHCMT) which manages the 500+ bed hospital located near Madhurawada; Visakhapatnam has been declared as a major treatment center for COVID and BLACK FUNGUS. This not-for-profit hospital has been catering to the treatment needs of the residents of Visakhapatnam as well as the neighbouring villages. Please visit www.gvpmc.in to see the facilities and services available at this institute.
The coronavirus and subsequent complications (like black fungus, thrombosis, cardiac arrest, etc) are posing a major challenge to the society. It is painful to restrict patient admissions due to shortage of facilities. This necessitates the need for enhancement of the infrastructure. Hence, enhanced supply of consumables like PPE kits, oxygen flow meters, medicines, etc – in addition to major equipment like portable CT Scan, portable Ultrasound Machine, ICU Beds, ventilators, ECG machines, etc. would help the hospital to serve efficiently to more number of patients .
Below is what the hospital needs to provide better services to the community:

To ensure transparency, all donations will be deposited directly to the GVPMC account so that the hospital can make best use of the funds keeping in mind the changing requirements.
Please share this message with your friends and family members so that we can reach out to the maximum number of donors and have a positive impact on improving the healthcare infrastructure. Let us all join hands in this fight against the pandemic.
