Dear Citizens,

Do you know that the government offers insurance and pension schemes for the underprivileged and marginalised section of our society? Are you aware that insurance benefits of Rs. 2 lacs can be availed in case of a death? Not only this, any disability due to an accident can render compensation upto Rs. 2 lacs too.
Furthermore, these unorganised workers can contribute today under government sponsored pension scheme and get a matching contribution from the government which can be useful for them at the time of their retirement, perhaps when they are not as much capable to carry out their jobs.

We, a group of students of The British School, aim to make these social benefit schemes more approachable and easily available to these relevant sections of our society. Recently, we witnessed the death of a household driver in our neighbourhood which left his family with no source of income. If the family knew about the government insurance policies, they could have availed compensation benefits of Rs. 2 lacs and sustained their living better.

To make this possible for more families, we require your (the residents) help. For ensuring easier access to the schemes, we are seeking to raise Rs. 1 lac to fund for the insurance and pension of 100 of these workers, at a cost of Rs. 1,000 per person.
