Golu suffers from Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) in his feet. It is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins disrupting oxygen exchange. It is a congenital disease, which was diagnosed very late in him due to lack of awareness. He needs continuous surgeries, every six months. Through continuous surgeries and medical intervention, the arteries and the veins will be disentangled, and the doctors believe that the wound would heal by the time he turns 18. If he is not given proper medical care, there are chances that his foot will be amputated.
His father is a carpenter, who earns a meagre income and has a family of four to support. The cost of surgeries is too much for him to bear. The doctors at AIIMS, New Delhi, have estimated the cost of the treatment to be more than 5 lakhs. The surgeries will prevent his foot from getting amputated.
Golu and his family need your support, so that he can walk one day without being in constant pain.
