#DaanUtsav (earlier called the Joy of Giving Week) is India’s ‘festival of giving’. Launched in 2009, the festival is celebrated every year.
Under this, we, Global Shapers Kolkata Hub and MASH Project Kolkata Hub are running an online campaign where we appeal people to bear the cost of treating one child who hasn't had a great Puja or lightning up their Diwali.
Now what do we mean when we say TREAT It can be anything:
- Cost of one gift -and
- Cost of any one piece of Stationary ie book/copy/box
The maximum amount to be taken from each person cannot exceed 50 rs. On 20th, Sunday, we visit a local orphanage and distribute these items. Members of both the organisation contribute certain amount from their side. This will cover the cost of one time meal of the entire organisation.
Let's give them something they'll always cherish.
