My Name is Nitsia Bharti, I am a Grade 11 student at the Prometheus School, Noida. I am the founder of Project Anybody (https://www.projectanybody.com/) aiming to empower women through awareness and education. As a part of this, I am raising money for Prajna Foundation (https://prajnafoundation.in/) for their initiative, Naree Shakti.
Prajna Foundation is based in New Delhi and offers a number of programmes and initiatives aimed at giving children in New Delhi's slums the tools they need to break free from poverty and introduce them to the things which make life more than merely surviving. Naree Shakti is a women-focused initiative as part of this. It is a 5 step programme aimed at giving girls and women the tools to gain independence.
They are persuading girls and their families to keep the girls in school and engaged in their programmes as part of this push. They then instill in them the belief that they will be able to graduate and apply to colleges. With their cooperation with Lady Shri Ram College, Prajna Foundation's values of empowerment are strengthened.
Their Kalkaji centre also hosts vocational training. Sewing machine training sessions and certificates are available. Women who complete these jobs are able to find work and support themselves.
Through these programmes and more, Prajna Foundation is able to help improve girls' lives with their commitment towards their cause.
