I Sachin Joshi writing this story on behalf elder brother Gaurav Joshi. In 2019 my brother had a general dry cough problem we took him to Medipulse hospital in an emergency, because he had a breathing problem, after all the testings doctors said his heart is pumping slowly due to which we had to put in a Pacemaker (A small device implanted in the chest to help control the heartbeat). We’re not satisfied with this treatment as the conditions were getting worse.
So we took him to Apollo CVHF Hospital Ahmedabad. Doctors took a fresh start and took him under observation as his blood pressure was very low. He was on oxygen, and with the number of combinations of medications the blood pressure was then controlled after that all the tests like ECG and ECHO were done n doctors said his heart was only working 15% doctors even did angiography but no blockage was found. With proper treatment and medication, his heart started working at 35%. The doctor said with proper precautions and prescribed medicines he can live a healthy life.
Now again in 2023 June, he had a dry cough for 20 days we took a local doctor’s treatment one night he had breathing issues we took him to AIIMS Jodhpur emergency and admitted him late at night after all the tests found that his blood pressure was extremely low, with the given proper treatment by the doctor BP was then controlled by the third day morning. But we found that his lungs were filled with fluid (water) and kidney is not functioning properly and his heart is only working 5-10%.
Also, AIIMS diagnosed a disease called VIRAL MYOCARDITIS ( a rare heart disease in which the heart pumps slowly) So we took an immediate decision to shift him to CIMS Hospital Ahmedabad to get better treatment.
On the same night, we took an ICU ambulance on wheels n shifted him to CIMS HOSPITAL Ahmedabad emergency. After all the tests doctors admitted him to CCU with all the treatment and medications his condition was getting bad again and the doctor asked us to go for ECMO (the machine that works to allow the heart and lungs to rest) which costs rs 5.5 lakh and as kidneys were also not working so dialysis was done which costs 80,000 rs. And after that, 2lakhs per day is being estimated. Doctors are now suggesting a heart transplant which expenses 30 lakh rs. And till now our family’s saving has been used and gold is also being sold in the market to save a life and pay the bills of the hospital
Now as per doctors' recommendation the last option is heart transplantation which approximately cost 30 lakhs rs plus hospital and medications cost. I know this is a very huge amount but I’m folding my hand to request you all to please help and support my family to save my brother’s life. Any amount of money yours will be helpful and can save someone’s life
