Request to support for HB strips: On 26-10-2024 Vijay Karanatka news paper reported, that 3.00 lakh children are suffering from anemia in Karanataka. Responding to this, the IRD-Institute for Rural Development, vijayapur Organization took the initiative to conduct anemia tests for 1,000 children at the (Anganwadi, Primary & Highschool Children) at Minajgi village, Talikot Aspirational Taluk of Vijayapur district. The findings revealed that 20-25% of the children tested are anemic.
With above experience , the organization plans to expand anemia testing across Vijayapura district. Although the Government system has the infrastructure for anemia testing, there is a shortage of HB testing strips. Therefore, we request you to support for the HB strips either through financial contributions or by providing HB test strips. Each strip costs around ₹30, and a minimum of 10,000 strips are required in Vijaypur district at present. This will help to diagnose the children for the anemia and helps to treat the children on time for their better growth and development.
