Faraha is an acid attack survivor hailing from qayamganj, district farukkabad, Uttar Pradesh. She was attacked by her ex-husband in 2011 February when she filed for divorce against him. In retaliation he avenged her by throwing acid on her destroying her left eye completely and leaving her with only 20% vision in her right eye. Her ex husband was arrested immediately after the attack and was in prison for 3.5 years. During her marriage she was severely ill-treated by her ex-husband and it was overall a very torturous marriage. She has now already had 31 surgeries and her rehabilitation process requires continuous medication. She continues to engage in several medical treatments to survive. She has a happy go lucky nature and always looks to be positive and happy in life. She has a hunger to enjoy a peaceful and independent life.

Faraha is no longer employed by Sheroes Hangout Cafe, where she worked for 10 years. She has been jobless for over a year and is urgently seeking ways to remain independent, feed people, and bring happiness to others. Faraha wishes to open a small cafe in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. To start this wonderful endeavour, she needs financial support for rent, raw materials, crockery, furniture, and equipment., for livelihood
